“Listen, God can’t bless what you won’t do. You haven’t been taught correctly. Prosperity doesn’t just come from giving an offering. It’s good to be a giver. But you must also be a thinker, a planner, and a worker.”- T. D. Jakes
Introduction:
We’ve been holding this for a while, but its finally time for us to announce it. Every season of life and ministry comes with its own challenges and blessings. This one has been no different. In the midst of a pandemic, we have seen God do some amazing things, but He has blown our minds with this one.
I have called and chosen to serve as Executive Director for Good News Fellowship. I have been an ordained Bishop with GNF for about 3 years now, and I do not take this mantle lightly. In this new role, I will be tasked to provide leadership to our board of Bishops as we serve the churches and pastors in our network. I am so grateful and honored not only to be called by God for this task but to be affirmed by the godly men who make up the board of GNF. Latoya and I are humbled and elated to walk into this calling and make a kingdom difference.
I have to say thank you to our Rock City family. The past two years have been some of the most fruitful years of my life and ministry. To play a small part in seeing more than 1,000 people begin their discipleship journey is nothing short of mind-blowing. I will cherish the relationships that we have built and the moments we have shared. I know God will continue to have His way through the movement.
This new role is based in Birmingham, so we will not be moving. We will spend a lot of time traveling as we have churches from Houston to Atlanta, in Puerto Rico, and India, but we get to lead from here. We will also spend more time investing in couples through our marriage ministry and pouring into churches through Simple Systems as God has opened some major doors that you will hear more about soon.
To our GNF family, Paul’s words in Colossians 1:28-29 will continue to be the focus of our ministry. 28 We tell others about Christ, warning everyone, and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship with Christ. 29 That’s why I work and struggle so hard, depending on Christ’s mighty power that works within me. We look forward to serving you even more as we take back territory for the kingdom of God.
